Job summary

Milk Education in Hartlepool is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School for a September 2026 start. You will lead learning, support pupil progress, and work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons across Early Years to Key Stage 2.

This full-time role is term-time only, with a competitive daily rate dependent on experience. You will help create an inclusive classroom, manage behaviour, and support children’s academic and personal development.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or significant TA experience in a primary setting.
• Experience delivering lessons independently in a primary school.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, with a passion for education.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole-class, small-group, and intervention activities.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and supportive learning activities.
• Support pupils' academic and personal development.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs.
• Support classroom routines and positive behaviour management.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to improve outcomes.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
