Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Darlington. You will support teaching and learning, lead activities, and help pupils achieve their potential within a positive and inclusive environment.

Role involves delivering lessons across Early Years, KS1, and KS2, with responsibilities to improve pupil outcomes and support SEN needs where required. Term-time hours with a daily rate dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or significant experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting.
• Ability to deliver planned lessons independently and support pupil progress.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole-class, small-group, and intervention activities.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities.
• Support pupils' academic progress and personal development.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs.
