Amey Consulting in the UK seeks a permanent Principal Drainage Infrastructure Engineer to join our Consulting Highways team in Sheffield. You will lead highways drainage schemes, mentor junior designers and collaborate with National Highways, Sheffield Council and clients.

The role emphasizes technical leadership and bid preparation across major schemes. As a Chartered or Incorporated engineer, you will drive design quality, risk assessment and CDM compliance, delivering technically sound

Qualifications

• Senior level drainage design experience in highways.
• Proven ability to lead technical designs and check calculations.
• Experience with risk assessment and CDM compliance.
• Experience in bids and work-winning activities.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical team leader for highways drainage schemes.
• Lead the preparation and checking of designs, calculations and drawings.
• Control budgets and manage costs for deliverables.
• Liaise with client and supplier representatives and present proposals.
• Lead bids and commercial offers for tenders.
• Promote health and safety practices within the team.
