Job summary

Ambitious College is seeking a Higher Level Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our West Thames campus, supporting autistic young adults aged 16-25. You will work alongside the class Lecturer to plan and deliver high-quality education, monitor progress and mentor Learning Support Workers.

You will provide personalised learning activities, model best practice, and collaborate with therapists and other professionals to raise attainment and independence while upholding safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in education and classrooms.
• Ability to mentor Learning Support Workers and staff.
• Strong communication and collaboration with professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, delivery and assessment of learning.
• Develop accessible resources and personalised activities.
• Deliver lessons in Lecturer's absence and monitor learner progress.
• Model best practice and mentor colleagues to raise attainment.
• Work with Lecturers, therapists and other professionals to support autistic learners.
