Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a busy warehouse operation processing up to 70,000 parcels per day. Based in Oakenshaw, the role requires strong leadership, high-volume logistics experience and the ability to drive performance.

You will manage shift managers, ensure safety and efficiency, and report operational metrics to senior management. The role offers a £50,000 salary and a 2:00pm–10:00pm shift.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading warehouse operations.
• Experience managing Shift Managers or similar roles.
• Strong focus on safety, productivity and quality

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction across the shift.
• Manage and support Shift Managers as direct reports.
• Own shift performance, productivity, quality and standards.
• Identify and resolve complex operational problems across the site.
• Monitor performance and take action to address issues.
• Lead and develop a large operational workforce in a high-volume environment.
• Ensure teams work safely, efficiently and per procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes and productivity.
• Maintain clear and accurate shift reporting.
• Communicate performance and actions to senior management.
• Collaborate with other departments for site-wide consistency.
