Job summary

Impact Food Group, serving schools nationwide, seeks a Chef Manager for the Tewksbury Academy kitchen. You will lead a high-volume operation, plan menus, manage stock and budgets, and ensure top quality meals for hundreds of students each day.

The role is Monday to Friday, 6.30am–4pm, term-time plus 3 weeks, with a £35,000 annual salary. DBS check and safeguarding commitment are required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a kitchen in schools or high-volume catering.
• Ability to cook fresh, seasonal food at high volumes.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Experience managing kitchen operations, stock, and compliance.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop your catering team.
• Prepare and serve fresh, seasonal meals at high volume.
• Plan menus, manage stock, and control budgets.
• Ensure food hygiene, safety and compliance.
• Build relationships with onsite clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee service from prep to finish.
