Job summary

Contek Recruitment Solutions LTD. is seeking a Class C Driver / Loader in West Devon to perform local recycling and municipal collections. You will drive and load as part of a crew, leading the route and ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires a valid HGV Class C Licence with CPC, physical fitness for manual handling, and a focus on safety and teamwork. Overtime offers additional earning potential, with early shift starts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class C Licence and Driver Qualification Card (CPC).
• Physically fit with regular manual handling.
• Reliable and able to communicate well with team and public.

Responsibilities

• Driving and loading: Safely operating Class C vehicles and sweepers, assisting the crew when needed.
• Crew and vehicle lead: Take responsibility for your vehicle, keep crew safe, and run your route efficiently.
• Daily checks: Ensure vehicle is mechanically safe and roadworthy before heading out.
• Safety first: Follow basic Health & Safety rules, wear PPE, report faults or hazards.
