Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Heavy Lift Operations Manager to lead the heavy lift package for the Doggerbank project at Nigg Port, coordinating port calls, onshore pre-assembly, and transport operations with a multinational team.

You will ensure activities are conducted safely, on time, and within budget, while supervising a team of field supervisors and reporting to the PMO. A strong technical background in heavy lifting and robust EHS practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Competent LOLER Appointed Person with heavy lift project experience.
• Ability to read and validate lift plans and manage port operations.
• Strong leadership and on-site management skills.
• Commitment to EHS compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for Heavy Lift subcontract.
• Ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery within budget.
• Supervise load-in, storage, delivery to pre-assembly and load out.
• Review RAMS, lift plans, and reports; produce daily progress updates.
• Train and lead field supervisors; support Site Logistics Manager.
• Prepare progress and internal reports including cost tracking.
