Job summary

CDM Recruitment in Newcastle is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. The role focuses on planning and coordinating heavy lifting, transport and packing operations for large offshore products, working with manufacturing and project teams to move structures safely and efficiently using SPMTs, gantry cranes and rigging.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or manufacturing background with experience in offshore, subsea, or heavy engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience in offshore, subsea, heavy engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to plan and coordinate heavy lifting and logistics.
• Knowledge of lifting equipment and risk management processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan heavy lifting and logistics for complex projects.
• Develop methods for transporting and handling large offshore products.
• Support manufacturing readiness and project delivery.
• Prepare engineering documentation and scope of works.
• Lead continuous improvement and process optimisation.
• Participate in risk reviews and change management.
• Coordinate specialist contractors and lifting activities.
