Job summary

Southern Water is seeking a Head of Health, Safety & Security Operational Enablement to lead the HSS enablement function. The role focuses on governance, data, reporting, training and an assurance-driven service across the organisation and its supply chain.

You will shape frameworks, simplify processes and enable consistent delivery of the Safety and Security Plan across a large operational footprint, with a hybrid work arrangement in the UK.

Qualifications

• Leadership and strategic oversight experience in health, safety and security.
• Experience implementing governance, risk management and assurance frameworks.
• Ability to build high-performing, service-focused teams.
• Degree-level qualification in business, health and safety, risk or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HSS Operational Enablement team with clear priorities and ways of working.
• Own and continually improve the HSS management system, governance documents and tools.
• Lead HSS training, competence and engagement activities to ensure safe working practices.
• Oversee HSS data, reporting and insight for timely leadership information.
• Coordinate HSS business planning, performance routines and reporting for execs.
