Job summary

Kedleston Group Ltd is launching a new specialist school in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter and seeks an inspiring Head Teacher to lead the project from pre-opening stage to operation in 2027, driving excellence in SEMH provision.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, NPQH, significant SEN/SEMH senior leadership, and strong communication; you will shape curriculum, lead a high-performing team, ensure regulatory standards and exceptional outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• NPQH (National professional qualification for headship).
• Substantial, demonstrable senior leadership experience within a SEN/SEMH setting.
• Strong experience teaching and supporting children with autism spectrum condition and associated social, emotional and mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the provision once operational, fostering a culture of excellence in education and inclusion.
• Build and inspire a high-performing team, ensuring regulatory compliance and outstanding outcomes for every child.
• Contribute to curriculum design, stakeholder engagement and the pre-opening programme; drive the registration process.
