Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Principal Hardware Engineer in the Bristol area to lead analogue, digital and RF designs through concept to manufacture.

You will design high-density PCBs in Altium, oversee hardware validation, mentor engineers and work on cutting-edge sensing and RF systems. On-site role with generous benefits.

Salary circa £85,000 plus 25 days holiday, private healthcare, pension and tech schemes. Security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience in analogue, digital and RF electronics design.
• High-density PCB and high-speed digital design experience.
• Knowledge of RF PCB layout, EMC and signal integrity.
• Proven experience taking electronic products from concept through to manufacture.
• Embedded software bring-up or FPGA development experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design complex analogue, digital and RF electronic systems.
• Develop high-density PCBs using Altium Designer.
• Design high-speed digital and RF circuitry with EMC considerations.
• Lead PCB bring-up, testing, debugging and hardware validation.
• Support design reviews, customer meetings and junior engineer development.
