Job summary

Dexterra Group in Nova Scotia is seeking a Lead Hand janitor to perform routine building cleaning tasks and maintain a clean, safe environment for shoppers and staff.

The role requires hands-on cleaning, knowledge of cleaning practices and chemical handling, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This is a physically demanding position with opportunities for growth within a stable, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• A working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of proper use of a wide range of chemicals according to state/federal regulations handling,
• Knowledge of disposing of hazardous materials and blood-borne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of janitorial and custodial assignments such as mopping, cleaning walls.
• Perform semi-skilled and skilled duties in other trade areas.
• Perform other work as assigned or required on the contract.

WHAT'S THE JOB

We are hiring a Lead Hand located in Nova Scotia. The Janitor performs routine building cleaning tasks to maintain clean and safe shopping mall and grounds. This work is manual in nature and requires a variety of physical demands.
