Job summary

idverde is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in March, Cambridgeshire. You will manage a team, perform hands-on duties, and ensure work meets high contract standards while maintaining safety and quality throughout.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, 2+ years in a supervisory role, and strong communication skills to liaise with management and clients. A permanent, on-site position with standard hours is offered.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations and allocate work to the team.
• Lead by example by carrying out operational duties alongside staff.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Monitor productivity and quality, offering guidance as needed.
• Carry out site inspections and safety checks.
• Complete paperwork, records and reports accurately and on time.
• Liaise with management, customers and stakeholders on operational requirements.
• Ensure vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained and used correctly.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Promote a positive safety culture and adherence to policies.
