idverde in the UK is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team in March. You will supervise day-to-day operations, conduct safety checks, and ensure high contract standards through hands-on horticultural work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' supervisory or team leader experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates.
• First Aid trained.
• Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping or related environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example by undertaking operational duties alongside the workforce.
• Ensure work meets health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Monitor productivity and quality, provide guidance and support.
• Carry out site inspections and safety checks.
• Complete paperwork, records and reports accurately and on time.
• Liaise with management, customers and stakeholders regarding requirements.
• Ensure vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained and used correctly.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Promote a positive safety culture and compliance with policies.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in March. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all designated areas meet high contract standards through effective hands-on horticultural practices and management. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining visually appealing landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day operations and allocate work to team members.
• Lead by example by undertaking operational duties alongside the workforce.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Monitor productivity and work quality, providing guidance and support where required.
• Carry out site inspections and safety checks.
• Complete relevant paperwork, records and reports accurately and on time.
• Liaise with management, customers and stakeholders regarding operational requirements.
• Ensure vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained and used correctly.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Minimum 2 years' previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates.
• Experience within grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping, environmental services or a similar operational environment.
• First Aid trained.
