Job summary

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies in Billingham is seeking a Lead Production Technologist to lead GMP manufacturing and technology transfer operations. You will be the primary manufacturing contact from batch preparation through execution and disposition, ensuring EHS and cGMP standards are met while coordinating resources to deliver to plan.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• 3+ years in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• Experience authoring and/or reviewing GMP documentation.
• Understanding of biopharmaceutical USP/DSP manufacturing processes.
• Flexibility for on-demand working/on-call as needed.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to uphold an EHS and GMP culture on the shop floor.
• Serve as the manufacturing process expert across technology transfer and GMP execution.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to author/review process docs and ensure compliant operations.
• Build, monitor and adjust manufacturing plans; coordinate resources to meet schedule targets.
• Make informed decisions to protect product quality, applying cGMP principles.
• Lead root cause analyses with development and engineering to resolve deviations.
• Engage with customers and regulatory agencies during audits and updates.
• Provide day-to-day line management for up to six team members.
