Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead GIS Consultant to steer geospatial delivery across Water, Energy, Earth and Environment, leading a multidisciplinary team and shaping innovative GIS solutions for complex projects.

You will mentor colleagues, drive digital transformation, contribute to proposals and bids, and work within a supportive, inclusive environment with hybrid UK-wide offices and generous development opportunities.

Qualifications

Extensive experience leading GIS teams on multidisciplinary projects across water, energy, earth and environment.
Proven ability to design and deploy Esri Enterprise solutions and related web apps.
Experience in building automated geospatial workflows and enterprise-level integration.
Strong bid and proposal development capabilities with clear cost translation of geospatial concepts.

Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership of the GIS team, setting direction and ensuring capacity aligns with project needs.
Lead GIS delivery on major projects with focus on regulatory and environmental assessments.
Drive digital transformation through client-focused geospatial solutions across multiple sectors.
Manage programmes and resources to deliver on time, within scope and budget.
Prepare proposals and bids to support business development.
Mentor and develop the technical team to ensure quality and service delivery.
Develop working practices to deliver industry-leading services and value.
