Job summary

Metrica Recruitment is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer – Generative AI in London. You will combine hands-on software engineering with technical leadership to enable organisations to adopt and scale AI in production.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, shape architecture and drive intelligent applications across cloud platforms, while mentoring peers and contributing to growth initiatives. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack software engineering experience required.
• Expertise across backend and frontend development essential.
• Hands-on Generative AI, LLMs and AI frameworks experience.
• Experience building apps on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of vector databases such as PGVector or MongoDB.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading technical projects and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams delivering Generative AI solutions.
• Design and build scalable full‑stack AI applications.
• Develop RAG pipelines, AI agents and LLM powered platforms.
• Define technical architecture and engineering best practices.
• Drive delivery from PoC to production deployment.
• Engage directly with clients to shape technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and support capability development.
• Contribute to proposals, bids and technical demonstrations.
