Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Lead Gas Engineer in Kettering, Northamptonshire, GB, to join our Emergency Response Team. You will handle gas meter installation, replacement, and maintenance for homes and businesses, conduct safety surveys, and fit cooker valves while collaborating with the emergency services when needed.

Ideal candidates will have CCN1 or CMA1, with MET1 a plus; strong communication and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for this critical role.

Qualifications

• Must have CCN1 or CMA1 qualification to apply.
• MET1 qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Experience in gas environment with knowledge of gas appliances; testing, purging and commissioning of pipework.
• Understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team.
• Install, replace and maintain gas meters for home and business customers.
• Conduct high-rise surveys and gas safety regulation surveys.
• Fit cooker safety valves and related safety devices.
• Coordinate with emergency services when required and communicate clearly with clients.
