Key Responsibilities

As part of our Emergency Response Team, you’ll be the first on the scene at customers’ homes, representing our brand to those concerned about gas escapes or carbon monoxide alarms. You may need to liaise with emergency services, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable, elderly, or help-seeking individuals. Your role involves empathy, pride in service, and safeguarding lives.

The role is varied, including installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters for residential and commercial customers, conducting high-rise and safety surveys, and fitting cooker safety valves.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential skills include excellent communication and composure under pressure. Candidates must hold a CCN1 or CMA1 qualification; a MET1 qualification is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience in a gas environment, knowledge of appliances, testing, purging, and pipework commissioning are required. An understanding of standards, legislation, safety regulations, and a full UK driving license are also necessary.
