Job summary

Planet Special Limited is seeking a Lead Game Designer to own the overall gameplay vision and deliver cohesive, fun, accessible player experiences. You will define core mechanics, systems, progression and ensure alignment with product goals.

Early prototypes are expected, with a potential transition to full-time in the future. The role requires strong communication, a portfolio of design work, and the ability to iterate using player data and feedback.

Qualifications

• Clear, detailed design docs and ability to explain concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead/senior design background with a portfolio or shipped titles.
• Technical ability to produce prototypes.
• Strong skills in defining core mechanics, systems and progression for PC games.
• Ability to use player data and feedback to iterate balance.
• Familiarity with Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Education or equivalent experience in game design or related fields, UK work eligibility.
