Job summary

Rebellion is seeking a Senior Game Designer to join a growing design team on a brand-new, unannounced IP. The role focuses on delivering high-quality features, design docs and prototypes within a trusted, autonomous, collaborative environment.

You will work closely with the Lead Game Designer and cross-disciplinary teams to shape core features, ensure production-ready designs, and mentor junior designers while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of creating game designs, documents and prototype specifications.
• Hands-on experience with combat and encounter design.
• Ability to mentor junior designers and guide teams.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality game features, design documents and prototype specs.
• Build, script, debug and iterate on combat encounters in-engine.
• Shape encounter pacing, enemy composition and difficulty.
• Playtest and provide feedback aligned with the game's vision.
• Identify and communicate production issues to leads.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive production concepts.
• Mentor junior designers to elevate team performance.
• Translate design ideas into playable gameplay.
