Job summary

Stealth - AI x Bio is seeking a senior data scientist to own analysis of functional genomics data, collaborating closely with scientists who design and run screens. You will build scalable pipelines across multimodal readouts such as sequencing, imaging and proteomics to derive robust hits and evidence.

You will join the intelligence team in London, working hybrid with regular lab time, and you will help ensure data quality from experimental design through to results presentation to leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics or related field.
• Strong Python or R with Git, code review and reproducible workflows.
• Hands-on single-cell RNA-seq analysis (Scanpy/Seurat).
• Experience with CRISPR screen QC and guide assignment.
• Statistical and machine learning methods on biological data, incl. linear/mixed models.
• Ability to explain results clearly to wet-lab scientists.

Responsibilities

• Own analysis of functional genomics data from screens; QC and modelling perturbation effects.
• Build image-based profiling pipeline for Cell Painting: feature extraction, normalisation, scoring.
• Integrate proteomic, transcriptomic and imaging readouts with robust statistics.
• Make pipelines reproducible and scalable with the software team.
• Present results with uncertainty to scientists and leadership.
