Zusammenfassung

Stealth - AI x Bio in London is seeking a hands-on data engineer/biostatistician to own analysis of assay data and the ML infrastructure that runs on captured data. You’ll collaborate with protein characterization scientists and the software team to deliver reliable results with uncertainty and QC, ensuring traceability back to samples and plates.

You will build and maintain end-to-end data and ML pipelines, validating data, handling biological constructs, and applying rigorous statistics.

Qualifikationen

• Building and running production data and ML pipelines, ideally on scientific or lab data, including data modelling, validation and reproducible, versioned workflows.
• Handling biological data: plate layouts, sample and reagent lot lineage, and protein/DNA construct sequences with standard tools.
• Biostatistics for experimental data, including design, replicates and controls, curve fitting, and separating batch effects from biology.
• Statistical process control and anomaly detection to catch assay drift and instrument variability early.
• Data visualization for audiences outside the team, showing uncertainty and QC for understanding and verification.

Aufgaben

• Own analysis and ML pipelines turning captured assay and sequence data into versioned datasets linked to sequence, sample, plate and well.
• Perform data validation before analysis runs to catch mislabelled plates and swapped samples.
• Conduct sequence-level bioinformatics to check protein/DNA constructs before ordering DNA.
• Apply biostatistics for experimental data including design, replicates, controls and error propagation.
• Develop curve fitting for dose–response (EC50/IC50) with proper normalisation and QC workflows.
• Identify and correct plate, lot and batch effects, using control charts to monitor drift.
