Job summary

JPMorganChase in Glasgow is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive delivery of trusted, market-leading technology in a secure, scalable way within the CDAS DataCore Engineering Team. You will lead design of React-based micro-frontends, shape system architecture, and build containerized Python services using FastAPI.

You will champion AI-assisted engineering practices and secure coding standards to raise quality and speed.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced in one or more programming languages.
Experience using AI-assisted software development tools with validation of outputs.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of React-based micro-frontend applications and shared UI frameworks.
Own and drive system design and architecture decisions (scalability, resiliency, observability, security, and maintainability).
Design and build container-based, scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI) and modern API patterns.
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Drives team adoption of enterprise-enabled AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and reliability
Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve automation and value.
