Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is assisting Rotherham MBC in recruiting a Fostering Supervising Social Worker to join the service. The role requires a recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England, with at least two years' fostering service experience.

The post involves supervising foster carers, completing Form K assessments for kinship carers, and delivering training, support and supervision within safeguarding regulations and the National Minimum Standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised social work qualification and SW England registration.
• Minimum two years in fostering services.
• Experience as Supervising Social Worker and Form K assessments for kinship carers.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide a local and personal social care service for vulnerable customers and contribute to statutory social work activities.
• Carry out investigations and planned assessments with written reports for complex cases.
• Assess needs in line with policy and legislation, including joint assessments.
• Develop support plans and coordinate services within financial constraints.
• Monitor service delivery and review individual circumstances.
• Promote prevent, reduce and delay principles while upholding dignity and self-determination.
• Provide information and guidance on local services and support.
• Offer ongoing advice to vulnerable clients and carers including role of case worker.
• Maintain accurate records using the IT system.
