Swindon Borough Council is recruiting a Lead for Domestic Abuse and VAWG to shape strategic responses, influence policy, and drive delivery with partners across Swindon. The role requires experience in domestic abuse, safeguarding, and collaborative leadership to improve services and outcomes for women and girls.
The post is 37 hours per week, fixed-term for 12 months, with a salary of £47,665 p.a. pro rata and additional benefits.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and influential leader with experience in domestic abuse, community safety, safeguarding, public protection or a related field. You will have an excellent understanding of the issues affecting victims of domestic abuse and violence against women and girls, alongside strong partnership, communication, problem-solving and organisational skills. The ability to analyse complex information, influence stakeholders and translate strategy into effective delivery is essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape strategic responses to domestic abuse and violence against women and girls, influence policy and practice, and work with partners across Swindon to create safer communities for all.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
The ability to travel throughout the Borough will be required and access to a car.
