Job summary

Castle Employment Group is seeking a hands-on Lead Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a busy food manufacturing site in the United Kingdom. You will maintain, repair and optimise machinery while supporting continuous improvement to keep production running smoothly.

You will lead maintenance activities, diagnose breakdowns, implement preventative maintenance and ensure adherence to food safety, GMP, hygiene and H&S standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualification.
• Hands-on experience in food manufacturing.
• 16th/17th/18th Edition or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving, organisation and communication skills.
• Desirable: NEBOSH/IOSH, food hygiene qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant and equipment, diagnosing and resolving breakdowns quickly.
• Deliver preventative maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, hygiene and H&S standards.
• Maintain accurate records and assist senior management as required.
• Flexible approach with on-call duties during peak periods.
