Job summary

In The Loop Group in Liverpool/Manchester is seeking an experienced Lead Fire & Security Engineer / Project Engineer to lead on-site delivery of fire and security projects, alongside planned preventative maintenance and service works. This hands-on role requires guiding engineering teams, coordinating with Project Managers and reading technical drawings to ensure accurate, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fire & Security Engineer, Lead Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Strong fire alarm installation, servicing and commissioning experience.
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive service works.
• Experience leading or supervising engineers.
• Good understanding of fire alarm systems and associated equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Fire & Security Engineers on site.
• Coordinate engineering activities and ensure projects remain on programme.
• Work closely with Project Managers to deliver projects successfully.
• Install, test and commission fire alarm systems.
• Carry out PPM, servicing, testing and maintenance of fire and security systems.
• Attend reactive service and breakdown call-outs when required.
• Fault-find and resolve technical issues on site.
