Job summary
Hunter Dunning Limited is seeking a Senior Associate Fire Engineer to lead technical delivery across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, transport and infrastructure projects. You will oversee QA, chair design reviews, and mentor engineers while developing client relationships across multiple UK locations.
The role demands a MSc in Fire Engineering, strong knowledge of UK regulations and chartered status or progression toward CEng, with excellent technical writing and communication
Qualifications
- MSc in Fire Engineering or equivalent required.
- Significant fire engineering or building services consultancy experience.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations.
- Understanding of RIBA project stages.
- Chartered Engineer status or actively progressing towards CEng.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and strong technical communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery across multiple fire engineering projects.
- Oversee quality assurance and chair technical design reviews.
- Mentor engineers and graduates across technical development.
- Standardise project processes, tools and technical outputs.
- Lead specialised technical research and improvement initiatives.
- Manage several projects simultaneously while balancing technical delivery and commercial requirements; build and maintain client relationships.
