Lead Fire Alarm Engineer – Full-time, Permanent

We’re looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer ready to step into a senior, blended role combining hands-on commissioning with leadership. You’ll join a forward-thinking Fire & Security business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and technical excellence. What You'll Be Doing
  • As Lead Fire Alarm Engineer, balance time on the tools (commissioning and testing complex fire alarm systems) with leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
  • Commissioning and verifying advanced fire alarm systems
  • Acting as the technical authority for projects and escalations
  • Auditing site works to ensure compliance with BS5839 standards and best practice
  • Mentoring and training engineers, helping them develop their technical skills
  • Providing technical support across projects and liaising with clients
  • Representing the business at a senior engineering level
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer with a strong commissioning background
  • FIA qualifications (Units 1-4 desirable) or equivalent industry certifications
  • Excellent knowledge of fire safety regulations and BS5839 standards
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Natural leadership ability, with experience mentoring or supporting others
  • Clear communication and confidence in client-facing situations
