Job summary

Cyient, Inc. in Bath, UK, seeks a highly skilled eVTOL Lead Aircraft Design Engineer to design and develop electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.

You will collaborate with engineering, certification, and manufacturing teams to deliver aero primary/secondary structures, composites and metallic parts, and interfaces with customers and authorities.

Hybrid working across customer offices and supplier sites is expected, with travel for key reviews as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in aircraft design, preferably eVTOL.
• Design experience on aero primary/secondary structures (wing, empennage, fuselage).
• Hands-on design and analysis with CATIA V5 and 3DExperience.
• Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define design solutions for new components and modifications.
• Prepare drawings and data for manufacturing and customer submittals.
• Produce ECN to support manufacturing, quality, and certification.
• Interface with certification authorities to ensure airworthiness compliance.
• Deliver designs with timely reviews and contribute to design maturity.
• Participate in hybrid meetings at customer and supplier offices.
