Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a proactive Estimator to join a well-established construction business delivering refurbishment, maintenance and fit-out projects across education, healthcare, and commercial sectors. You will prepare accurate tenders, review drawings and specs, analyse subcontractor quotes, and collaborate with operations and commercial teams to win high-value bids.

Qualifications

• . Previous experience as an Estimator within construction, refurbishment or fit-out.
• . Tendered for projects up to £10 million.
• . Strong understanding of construction methods, pricing, and procurement processes.
• . Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• . Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• . Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• . Proactive and organised with multi-tender management.
• . Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Preparing competitive estimates and tender submissions.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identifying risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Attending site visits and pre-tender meetings when required.
• Liaising with operations, commercial, and business development teams.
• Supporting negotiations and clarifications throughout the tender process.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
