Job summary

Severfield is seeking an experienced Erector Chargehand for the Hinkley Point C project in the UK. You will lead contracted staff, review safety documentation, and coordinate technical discussions with clients to ensure works meet design and budget constraints.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ Chargehand experience, ECITB qualifications, and compliance with permit-to-work processes. On-site responsibilities include planning, reporting, and incident control in a demanding industrial

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chargehand in a relevant industry HPC experience (desirable).
• Strong team leadership with a focus on safety and quality; able to assign work and deliver per design, on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and propose technical solutions where required.
• Review and approve technical & safety documentation
• Be involved in technical and planning discussions with client
• Ensure installation of works is as per design and process
• Deliver works on time and within budget
• Supervise contracted staff
• Prepare site reports and fill in needed documentation
• Manage and ensure compliance of the NNB permit to work processes
• Attend coordination meetings
• Act as and Incident Controller (IC)
• Act as Trauma and Medical Immediate Care (TMIC)
