Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Lead Equine Veterinary Surgeon to lead and develop our equine service within a supportive team. You’ll oversee clinical standards, governance and mentor the equine team across leisure, sport and performance horses.

The practice features a purpose-built equine clinic with advanced imaging and dentistry, and you’ll work Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with a shared on-call rota; some weekend coverage with days off in lieu.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS.
• Significant equine veterinary experience, including routine and emergency work.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and decision-making skills.
• Experience contributing to clinical governance, audits and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional clinical care across a varied equine caseload.
• Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to the equine team.
• Drive development and expansion of equine services.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to clinical governance, protocols, and continuous improvement.
• Work with the wider practice leadership team.
• Participate in a shared on-call rota.
