Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal Environmental Permitting Consultant to lead complex permitting, compliance and regulatory projects across energy, waste, industrial and utilities sectors. You will provide technical leadership, oversee permit applications, and advise clients navigating regulatory requirements.

You will mentor junior team members, manage project delivery, and help develop new business while building lasting client relationships within the UK environment.

Qualifications

• Experience within environmental permitting, compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead preparation and delivery of complex permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and programmes of work.
• Experience mentoring and developing colleagues in a regulatory consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex permit applications and regulatory submissions for diverse clients.
• Provide technical leadership on major projects and regulatory work.
• Mentor and support junior team members across the practice.
• Support business development and build long-term client relationships.
