Job summary
Haven is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to guide AI-enabled engineering initiatives. You will set technical direction, define architecture, and act as the principal technical contact for the squad while mentoring engineers.
This remote-first role includes occasional visits to Hemel Hempstead or Haven parks for collaboration. You'll balance hands-on coding with leadership, shaping engineering standards across Haven and ensuring secure, reliable delivery of high-quality software.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience leading software engineering teams in AI-enabled environments.
- Proven track record as a Lead Engineer driving architecture and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of AI-enabled software engineering practices and tooling.
- Expertise in one of C#, Dart, or TypeScript with backend/frontend frameworks.
- Solid grounding in SOLID, Clean Code, and TDD.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and architecture for your squad.
- Backlog definition and refinement with PM and UX Designer.
- Lead by example in high-quality solution design and implementation.
- Own engineering practices and AI-enabled workflows.
- Communicate progress, risks and decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
