Job summary

Haven is seeking a Lead Engineer to join our Technology team, taking joint ownership of the direction and output of a delivery squad alongside a Product Manager and UX Designer. You’ll set the technical direction, define the architecture, and be the key technical contact for squad stakeholders and the wider business.

This remote-first role balances hands-on coding with mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and continual improvement across the software delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a software engineer in AI-enabled environments.
• Proven ability to lead and foster a collaborative, productive team.
• Strong knowledge of AI tooling, context management, prompting, and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction and architecture for the squad.
• Backlog refinement with Product Manager and UX Designer.
• Coach, mentor, and develop squad engineers.
• Collaborate across squads to improve engineering standards.
