Job summary

Haven, a remote-first holiday operator, is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Product Technology team. This role focuses on cloud reliability, CI/CD, observability and database resilience across diverse engines, with occasional travel to Hemel Hempstead and off-site events.

You will work with engineering teams to design, implement, and support systems that guests, owners and colleagues depend on daily. AI-assisted tooling and guardrails shape innovative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support infrastructure engineering from design through to implementation.
• Design and improve CI/CD processes and pipelines using Git Actions.
• Troubleshoot build and deployment issues and unblock delivery.
• Contribute to and maintain internal engineering tools.
• Own monitoring, tracing and observability to detect issues early.
• Drive database reliability across relational and non-relational estates (RDS PostgreSQL/Aurora PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL, OpenSearch).
• Champion security with appropriate controls and accreditation support.
• Identify performance, scalability and load improvements to reduce response times.
• Define incident management approach, runbooks and response practices.
• Ensure disaster recovery documentation, controls and training are in place.
