Qualifications

• Proven experience leading an engineering team with electrical focus.

• HV Appointed Person experience is advantageous; willing to obtain HV APO course.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance services.
• Oversee compliance, records, audits, and reporting, while managing client relationships.
• Supervise HV and LV switching per Safe Systems of Work.
• Ensure KPIs and service standards; coordinate contractors and suppliers.
• Provide support for FM Service Co-ordinator and Engineering Director when needed.

Role: Engineering Manager – Electrical Bias
Hours: Full Time
Location: Swanwick, Near Fareham

We're looking for an Engineering Manager – Electrical Bias to lead the FM maintenance team on the prestigious NATS contract, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of multi-skilled maintenance services within a critical infrastructure environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maintenance Manager and provide overall direction to the FM team delivering planned and reactive maintenance services.
• Oversee compliance activities, records management, audits, and reporting while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Supervise High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) switching operations in accordance with Mitie Safe Systems of Work.
• Ensure all contractual KPIs and service standards are achieved while coordinating specialist contractors and suppliers.
• Provide operational support and cover for the Facilities Management Service Co-ordinator and Engineering Director when required.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:

• Proven experience in an engineering management role with a strong electrical bias.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working within a critical or high-availability environment is desirable.
• HV/LV Appointed Person experience is advantageous; willingness to complete and pass a recognised High Voltage Appointed Persons Course is essential.
