Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Engineering Manager - Electrical Bias to lead the FM maintenance team on a prestigious national contract near Fareham. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensure safe operation, and maintain high standards of compliance and performance in a critical infrastructure environment.

You will manage the Maintenance Manager, supervise HV/LV switching, drive KPI delivery, coordinate contractors, and provide support to the Engineering Director.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an engineering management role with a strong electrical bias.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and strong verbal and written communication.
• HV/LV Appointed Person experience is advantageous; willingness to complete a recognised High Voltage Appointed Persons Course is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maintenance Manager and provide overall direction to the FM team delivering planned and reactive maintenance services.
• Oversee compliance activities, records management, audits, and reporting while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Supervise High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) switching operations in accordance with Mitie Safe Systems of Work.
• Ensure all contractual KPIs and service standards are achieved while coordinating specialist contractors and suppliers.
• Provide operational support and cover for the Facilities Management Service Co-ordinator and Engineering Director when required.
