Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer for a permanent, onsite role in the UK. You will lead the definition, development, integration and certification of advanced hydro and electro-mechanical actuation and control systems across the full lifecycle.

You will guide supplier engineering activities, own system architectures and interfaces, and champion ongoing improvement of processes and tools. A UK national with suitable clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical/Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering.
• Extensive engineering experience with aerospace actuation or high-integrity systems.
• Proven experience leading supplier technical activities.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, integrate and certify actuation and control systems across the full lifecycle.
• Lead supplier engineering teams; review analyses, outputs, qualification evidence, and change proposals.
• Create and control system architectures, functional models, and interface definitions across mechanical, software, and electronics.
• Own the system integration strategy with controlled interfaces.
• Drive continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and tools.

My client, a leading force within aerospace manufacturing are on the hunt for a Lead Systems Engineer to join the team in the Cheltenham Office!

Role and Responsibilities - Lead Engineer

In this brand-new role for an ever-growing business, you will be responsible for leading the definition, development, integration and certification of advanced hydro & electro-mechanical actuation and control systems across the full systems-engineering lifecycle.

Other responsibilities include:

• Lead and influence supplier engineering teams; review and approve supplier analyses, design outputs, qualification evidence, and change proposals.
• Own the creation and control of system architectures, functional models, and interface definitions across mechanical, software, and electronics
• Own the system integration strategy, ensuring elements integrate with accuracy and controlled interfaces.
• Champion continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and tools.

Experience or Qualifications - Lead Engineer

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical/Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering
• Extensive engineering experience with aerospace actuation systems or high-integrity systems.
• Proven experience leading supplier technical activities.
• Experience with modelling/simulation tools and MBSE/SysML (Desirable)

Candidate must be a UK National, capable of obtaining BPSS or SC clearance due to projects of work being carried out in this role!
