Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Lead Engineer in the Deeside area to lead the definition, development, integration and certification of advanced hydro and electro‑mechanical actuation and control systems across the full systems engineering lifecycle.

You will lead supplier engineering teams, own system architectures and interfaces, and drive continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and tools. A UK national with the ability to obtain BPSS or SC clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical/Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering.
• Extensive engineering experience with aerospace actuation systems or high-integrity systems.
• Proven experience leading supplier technical activities.
• Experience with modelling/simulation tools and MBSE/SysML (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead definition, development, integration and certification of hydro and electro‑mechanical actuation and control systems across the full lifecycle.
• Lead and influence supplier engineering teams; review and approve supplier analyses, design outputs, qualification evidence, and change proposals.
• Own creation and control of system architectures, functional models, and interface definitions across mechanical, software, and electronics.
• Own the system integration strategy, ensuring elements integrate with accuracy and controlled interfaces.
• Champion continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and tools.
