Leonardo UK in Luton is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to design and integrate next-generation defence systems. You will lead concept studies, define requirements, and prototype new technologies, working with industry partners to solve complex integration challenges.

You bring applied engineering experience across MBSE, RF, AI/ML, and electronic warfare, with a proven ability to trade off options and deliver robust solutions in a hybrid, security-conscious environment.

What you'll bring

• Systems Engineering (e.g. problem definition, architecture, MBSE, integration, verification & validation)

Security Clearance

Salary Range:

• Lead Engineer £67,000 to £81,000

Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.
