Job summary

London’s fastest-growing startup is seeking a Technical Lead to own technical direction, drive architecture and mentor engineers. This in-office role will be pivotal in shaping technical decisions as the business scales.

You’ll have the freedom to challenge approaches, lead from the front and take responsibility for what gets built, with an emphasis on performance, memory safety and reliability as the project grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience, including senior roles.
• Proven ownership of major projects from architecture to production.
• Comfortable mentoring engineers and setting engineering standards.
• Equally capable discussing system design and solving difficult problems.
• Thrives in fast-moving environments.
• Rust experience is a plus.

A Technical Lead is needed to join one of London’s fastest-growing start-ups, taking ownership of complex engineering projects and playing a key role in shaping the technology as the business scales.

This is more than a hands-on engineering role. They’re looking for someone who can make high-level technical decisions, lead from the front and take real responsibility for what gets built and how.

You’ll have the freedom to challenge existing approaches, drive architecture and set the standard for engineering across the team. It’s an opportunity to have a genuine impact in a fast-moving environment where technical decisions matter.

This is an in-office role in London.

Who you are

• 5+ years of professional experience, including senior experience
• Proven experience taking ownership of major projects, from architecture through to production.
• Comfortable leading technical decisions, mentoring engineers and setting engineering standards.
• Equally happy discussing system design and getting hands-on with difficult technical problems.
• Someone who thrives in fast-moving environments
• Rust experience is a plus, but exceptional technical ability matters most.
