Alice Rose Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Lead Engineer to support a portfolio of prestigious commercial buildings across Central London. Initially mobile across multiple contracts, the role transitions to a permanent static site later in the year.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Engineer ready to take ownership of a site, with progression opportunities and ongoing technical development.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 3 Electrical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ).
• Experience in commercial building services maintenance and fault finding.
• Proactive approach; able to work across multiple sites initially.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).

Lead Engineer | Central London | £50,000 | Monday-Friday | Mobile to Static Role

Alice Rose Recruitment is working with a leading Building Services provider to recruit a Lead Engineer to support a portfolio of prestigious commercial buildings across Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Engineer ready to step into a Lead Engineer position, or an existing Lead Engineer looking for a fresh challenge with genuine career progression.

What makes this role different? You'll initially work as a mobile engineer across a number of high-profile commercial contracts, allowing you to familiarise yourself with the business, clients and engineering teams before transitioning onto your own permanent static site later in the year.

The Role

Working across prestigious commercial buildings, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and fault finding while supporting the day-to-day operation of each contract. As you become established within the business, you'll transition into a Lead Engineer position on your own static site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
• Respond to reactive maintenance and electrical fault finding
• Maintain electrical and mechanical building services plant
• Support the day-to-day operation of commercial contracts
• Assist with subcontractor management and inductions
• Complete maintenance reports and statutory logbooks
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures
• Build strong client relationships and deliver excellent customer service
• Support the Contract Manager and deputise when required
• Maintain high standards of service delivery across all sites

Requirements

• Level 3 Electrical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ)
• Experience within commercial building services maintenance
• Strong electrical fault-finding experience
• Good understanding of mechanical building services plant
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to work across multiple sites initially
