Job summary

S Knights Recruitment in West Yorkshire seeks an experienced Lead Employability Tutor. You will deliver high-quality employability training, own programme delivery, and coordinate day-to-day operations to help learners progress into employment, apprenticeships or further training.

The role supports learners through induction, ILPs and progression planning, with emphasis on engaging learners and partnering with employers across West Yorkshire.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering government-funded Employability programmes.
• Proven experience as an Employability Tutor or similar.
• Confident in delivering engaging classroom-based learning.
• Strong learner engagement, retention and progression skills.
• Ability to manage programme activity and outcomes.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
• Experience supporting learners towards employment or apprenticeships.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good understanding of safeguarding, Prevent and learner support requirements.
• Highly desirable: Construction, Retrofit or Green Skills delivery and/or programme coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging employability, confidence-building and workplace-readiness sessions.
• Manage learner engagement, attendance, retention and progression.
• Support learner induction, initial assessment, ILPs and RARPA.
• Take ownership of day-to-day programme delivery and coordination.
• Monitor learner progress and provide appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with employers and partners to create progression opportunities.
• Prepare learners for work experience, employer engagement and interviews.
• Support learners into employment, apprenticeships or further training.
• Maintain accurate learner records, evidence and programme documentation.
• Work with tutors, technical specialists and programme stakeholders.
• Deliver Construction and/or Green Skills training where relevant.
• Support programme quality, reporting and continuous improvement.
