Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Lead EMC Engineer in the United Kingdom to lead a team of EMC engineers and a UKAS accredited test facility. You will develop and qualify next generation radar and countermeasure systems, guiding facility capability and project delivery.

The role involves coordinating EMC test campaigns, ensuring compliance with MIL-STD-461, DO-160, and related standards, and driving continuous improvement within the EMC facility while supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Experience in EMC engineering for defence or aerospace.
• Ability to lead a team of EMC engineers.
• Knowledge of EMC standards and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team through early development lifecycle to product qualification EMC tests.
• Perform EMC engineering activities per MIL-STD-461, DO-160, and similar specs.
• Plan, execute and review EMC test campaigns and reports.
• Provide technical guidance to customers and internal teams on EMC matters.
• Drive continuous improvement in the EMC facility and methods.
