Retelligence Ltd in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead embedded firmware design for intelligent devices. You’ll work across medtech, industrial and consumer sectors, shaping hardware-enabled ML on edge devices with no cloud reliance.

The role offers varied, technically challenging projects and a collaborative culture. You’ll collaborate with clients to understand needs, define requirements and craft robust software architectures, with modern tooling, testing and CI

Qualifications

Experience designing embedded firmware for ARM-based MCUs/SoCs.
Proficiency in C/C++ with Python where needed.
Background in ML or computer vision on embedded devices.
Strong engineering practices: CI, testing, version control.
Excellent communication with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded firmware in C/C++ with Python for connected products.
Bring ML and vision capabilities to embedded hardware from microcontrollers to embedded Linux.
Collaborate with clients to capture needs, define requirements and shape solutions.
Define software architecture, features and functional requirements.
Present technical work clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Write high-quality, production-ready code with unit tests and CI.
