Job summary

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage (PCS) business is seeking a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to guide electro‑mechanical systems across complex test beds. You will lead design, integration and validation from concept to implementation, ensuring safety, standards compliance and high performance.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional and customer teams, mentoring engineers and driving innovation while delivering technically rigorous systems solutions with operational discipline.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Working towards or hold CEng qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical systems design from concept through commissioning, including architectures and interface definitions.
• Develop and review technical specifications, engineering documentation, and design deliverables.
• Perform electrical calculations, load analysis, simulations, protection coordination and fault analysis.
• Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory and industry standards (IEC, BS, IEEE, UL).
• Provide technical leadership to the project team and coordinate across cross‑functional groups.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, risks and reporting; act as main technical contact for customers and suppliers.

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
